My Cup Runneth Over

I am fully funded for this summer. Not only am I fully funded, there is an excess of 3.75%. Crazy. So crazy.

Fundraising started off slow this time. I was concerned that I would have to make up a sizeable difference. Those thoughts could not have been farther from the truth.

The God I serve has taken on the name Jehovah-Jireh for himself. Yes, that is the name that Abraham gave him, but God allowed it to be preserved throughout many generations. And he allows us to hold him to this name. Moreover, he lives up to his name time after time. Blessed be his name.

I am excited about my team of supporters as well. For some, I think that this is their first time as supporters. I pray that as they serve as senders, they would be blessed many times over for they ways that they are blessing me. I pray that God would challenge and increase their faith through this. I pray that God would grow their hearts for the nations and reveal more of his heart for the world to them. I am the one who is physically going, but it would not be possible without the backing of much prayer support and generous financial contributions.

I think I want to go to Central Asia. It sounds as though the soil is rocky and unplowed, but I think that the experiences God has given me in the past might be preparation for such a situation.

Today, I read Zechariah 8:23, "This is what the LORD Almighty says: 'In those days ten men from all languages and nations will take firm hold of one Jew by the hem of his robe and say, 'Let us go with you, because we have heard that God is with you.''" What an honor to be that man, that others want to go with him because they see God's work in this man's life!
